At Serco, I assist in collecting and analyzing business rules and practices for and from defense customers and develop these findings into software requirements. In order to efficiently track and manage this software delivery process, I build and maintain a portfolio which contains crucial documentation about the nature of these IT projects. I also monitor the documents of other team members for clarity, uniformity and cohesiveness. As a team we ensure that all documents meet standards set forth by the software industry, Serco, and most importantly, that they are clear to the customer . These documents include Use Cases, User Stories, Software Test Cases, Software User Manuals, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Project Test Plans, Integration Design Documents, Software Development Plans and Test Discrepancy Reports. I work alongside our technical team as they develop and code software changes. I collect, manage and store this new data in order to facilitate testing, performing system tests before the software is released to users. I also evaluate existing software for defects, maintain standard procedures for security and provide support and assistance to customers in their use of the system. Show less

A member of the NDMS Organization, I contribute to maximizing readiness and reducing cost at the Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs), improving functionality specifically through the development and management of specialized software that monitors and maintains efficiency practices. As an analyst, I partner with Project Leads in communicating with Government organizations, Integrated Program Team Members and collecting and analyzing business rules and practices. We then develop these findings into software requirements. I carefully monitor my schedule in accordance with both Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) and Waterfall project management methods so that there is no occurrence of assignment overlap or impediments. In order to efficiently track and manage this software delivery process, NDMS has developed IT portfolios which contain crucial documentation about the nature of the projects. I create and maintain many of the documents in these portfolios, I compare these documents for clarity, uniformity and cohesiveness so that they are in agreement. I ensure that each of these documents meet standards set forth by both the software industry and by NDMS. These documents include Use Cases, User Stories, Software Test Cases, Software User Manuals, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Project Test Plans, Integration Design Documents, Software Development Plans and Test Discrepancy Reports. I attend formal Peer Reviews sessions on these documents and act as a Peer Reviewer for other analysts as well. I follow the technical team as they code software and I collect, manage and store data in order to facilitate testing. I perform system tests before the software is released for user testing and I maintain standard procedures for security. I also evaluate existing software for defects. I provide support and assistance to Subject Matter Experts in developing training plans and attend Software testing implementation events to ease the software transitions. Show less
