At the Mcknight Brain Institute, I conducted research on how age impacts the ability of the hippocampus to communicate inter and intra-regionally in order to potentially discern how and where brain degeneration occurs. As a primary experimenter, I was in charge of running the rats through object discrimination tasks, analyzing the hippocampal activity, assessing probe placement, staying updated on hippocampal literature and caring for the rats.
