  Over the summer I am serving as a New Student Advisor through UCLA's New Student Academic Programs, where I am able to help first year and transfer students transition into their college experience by providing counseling, academic advising, creating workshops, and providing tours during New Student Orientation.   I worked with a group of international collaborators and NASA remote sensing experts to monitor and analyze deforestation trends in the Congo Basin across a 20 year study period. This project utilized Landsat and Sentinel derived data products.
