-Implement components of PPSO industrial hygiene program i.e., personal and atmospheric monitoring, PPE needs assessments, noise surveys, etc.Collect samples of dust, gasses, vapors, or other potentially toxic materials for analysis.Calibrate and bump test monitoring equipment. -Conduct safety inspections/audits of facilities, equipment, and operations and investigate client safety concerns.Document compliant and non compliant findings and recommend engineering, administrative, and PPE control measures. -Conduct safety training, demonstrations, or education programs, developing presentation materials as needed, to employees and client representatives. -Conduct accident, injury, and incident investigations, preparing/submit documentation that identify causal factors/corrective measures to prevent a recurrence. -Represent PPSO at customer contractor safety meetings to function as PPSO/customer liaison to communicate safety initiatives, best practices, and safety issues. -Assist with drug and alcohol program specimen collection. -Provide safety related technical and compliance assistance. -Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with PPSO and customer policies and procedures, standard industry practices, and government regulations. -Exercise prudent medical control measures in response to injured employees including active engagement with PPSO occupational provider and work comp carrier. -Promote PPSO near miss and hazard reporting program.Coordinate with Supervisors/Managers and customer to develop mitigative actions.Monitor and document corrective actions through completion. -Provide verbal guidance feedback and coaching to field employees and supervisors to reinforce "safe" behaviors and coach on "at-risk" behaviors observed in the field. -Recommend process improvements as necessary and implement approved changes. -Utilize software programs to maintain records and to prepare reports, e-mails, correspondence, etc. Show less
