  Assuris is the not for profit organization that protects Canadian policyholders if their life insurance company should fail. Our role is to protect policyholders by minimizing the loss of benefits and ensuring a quick transfer of their policies to a solvent company, where their protected benefits will continue.Responsible for the annual planning process including setting priorities, developing initiatives and establishing Business Process Index measures. Responsible for corporate communications, developing and managing communications strategies, as well as building and maintaining government relations. Also responsible for human resources and financial operational areas. Work with the Industry Advisory Committee and Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators to ensure Assuris is aware of industry issues.
