The Adventure Program provides student-powered adventure experiences that promote personal growth, transformative learning, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship to the University of Maryland community. My role is to coordinate and guide outdoor adventure trips with groups of up to twelve student veterans and community members while teaching skills in white water kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, coastal kayaking, and camping. Educating participants about environmental protection utilizing the Leave No Trace philosophy to instill a deeper understanding and appreciation for the great outdoors.
