Joanne was my professor at Algonquin for the Compensation, Employee Relations and Career Preparation courses. She was an excellent professor who was extremely knowledgeable in not only those specific areas but Human Resources in general. She was available for consultation (if need be), offered feedback when necessary and if I (or a fellow student) didn't understand something explicitly, she was available to meet to help in any way possible.

Joanne was the HR Manager that was part of my hiring process to Veritaaq where we worked together for a period of several years. Joanne was far from the "stereotypical" HR person; seriously outgoing, great sense of humor and truly blended with the team. You never felt guarded or hesitant when speaking with Jo as some might with other HR folk and she always took a genuine interest in how you were personally and professionally. Joanne is truly a gifted professional and an asset to any organization.
