Throughout this work experience I had the opportunity to work on logo design and other promotional materials for local companies. Black Olive Design also designed for Mode Magazine which is a free local magazine distributed in Doncaster and the surrounding areas. During my time I designed magazine spreads, adverts and email templates. The experience allowed me to explore different ways of using grids, layout skills and typography. I also worked on front end web design creating assets as well as incorporating existing styles for clients based in Doncaster. This work experience increased my Photoshop skills and made me more aware of designing user interfaces. I designed a personal website for Hayley Taylor, the Channel 4 ‘Fairy Job Mother,’ and several other websites that are all live.
