Jaroslav Pitonak

I worked with Jasper on a food sorting machine projects during 2018/2019. He is a dedicated and skillful professional engineer with all the qualities required for a good senior designer or project leader. Jasper really understand the design principles, production possibilities and all requirements taken on the mechanical structures. His great communication skills are beneficial when solving engineering challenges, his understanding of food design is thorough and he is willing to share the knowledge with other colleagues. Friendly, positive thinking and hard working – he would be an asset to any engineering company.

I had the pleasure to work together with Jasper as one of my senior team members having a wide knowledge on machine development and always with an open mind for innovation. He keeps on looking for a new blue ocean and in this way he keeps on taking steps in optimization and continuous improvement. Keep up the good work!

Hired as Product Specialist Recycling within the Mechanical Design department at BEST. This meant being the mechanical responsible within the multidisciplinary recycling group. After been taken over by Tomra, I've switched to the food sorting group and was soon appointed to the position of project manager for a new project. This project existed out of creating a new sorting machine line for the frozen food market. I was managing the whole project from definition to industrialization and was supported by an international and multidisciplinary team. In this role I learned to manage in different environments, like the AGILE one for the software department. The project took 3 years and the BLIZZARD machines are now sold all over the world. After the release of this sorter I've worked, as a senior mechanical design engineer, on a new flagship sorter that was commercially released in December 2020. In the meantime, I was appointed as CAD expert and Hygienical design expert for Tomra Belgium. Results:Created the BLIZZARD line for our company and thereby retaining our leadership position in that market.Commercial movie of the smallest machine > https://youtu.be/2AIPDtMjyIoDeveloped a new infeed shaker system based on high frequent electromagnetic actuatorsWorked on TOMRA 5C, our new flagship sorter Show less

Product developer for industrial battery solutions. Here is where I learned to develop products from scratch, following the different steps in the process. Starting from conceptual designs, to completing 3D assemblies with corresponding BOM structures to end with implementing my products in customer projects, that we worked on as a group. Results: I've designed a cooling unit that's able to cool a line of 8 industrial battery testers at a time. Also created a battery tester with the dimensions of a suitcase. From then on, the sales engineers had a demo-unit they could take with them on their commercial trips. Show less
