I lead the property from loss to profit, and drew the attention of Bill Kimpton, who founded Kimpton Hotels in 1981 when he purchased it and renamed it Vintage Court Hotel, which was the founding headquarters office and showcase hotel at the very beginning of "boutique hotels."
