At Millikin University, I am a part-time Math Center Tutor. I assist students in various levels of mathematics from algebra to calculus and I work with computer science students as well with basic code. The position as a Math Tutor helps me pay for my education and allows me to get involved on campus pertaining to something I am interested in. My responsibilities as a tutor for Millikin include helping students further their education and being timely by showing up to meetings, my work shifts, and emails relating to mathematic help. At Akorn Pharmaceuticals, I worked alongside six other IT Engineers to keep the technology side of the company up and running. As an IT Intern, I assisted the IT Service Desk with related troubleshooting and tasks. Also, I reimaged company computer's with applications based on Akorn Pharmaceutical protocols for technology equipment. I was involved in projects such as Multi-Factor Authentication with Microsoft, configuring and cleaning up Carbon Black Protection, and I have worked with Dell Service on the repair of company equipment. The job required me to work hard to meet user technological needs and to communicate with my co-workers about projects and troubleshooting. While working throughout the summer at Akorn, I got to work on software application development and I gained significant knowledge about the hardware of a computer. Show less

At Kroger, I helped serve hundreds of customers daily by checking out and bagging their groceries. The job enhanced my customer service skills as I had to interact with customers while doing my main job: ringing up the groceries. The job required me to always be aware of my surroundings as I was in charge of the money at the cash register, to communicate with supervisors and customers, and to be flexible to change roles.
