Jade has both natural talent and well-practiced skills as a software development manager. Under Jade's leadership her team became a center of excellence for operations practices and tooling within an org of 150+, scaled through unprecedented orders-of-magnitude traffic growth during COVID and onboarding of several top-tier customers, and delivered feature after feature without compromising quality or stability. Moreover, the inclusive, healthy, and effective space that Jade creates makes her an outlier at Amazon: her people operate as a team and are extremely loyal to her and each other, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a personal friend for a role on one of her teams. Individually, Jade is precise, insightful, and data-driven: she scopes, defends, and runs a roadmap with a careful balance between team and organizational priorities, and her reliable communications of risks, status, and priorities — the lifeblood of a senior leadership team — are always clear and actionable. Most leaders are either good at the details or are able to lead a diverse group of humans to achieve a strategy. Jade can do both, and it's a pleasure to watch her work.

Jade started a software engineer on the Amazon Chime but she quickly caught the eye of her leadership. Jade is a natural leader, who advocates for her staff and her service, with an incredible amount of customer obsession. She is a master of her own service and is a master of all the critical details and design of the systems she is responsible for. Most importantly - her team enjoys working for her and being led by her. As a servant leader, no task is beneath her on the team. These are all incredible assets that are helping her grow as a leader at Amazon and in the industry. I am certain Jade has a strong career in front of her.

Algorithms (COMP160) | Fall 2017 Web Programming (COMP 20) | Fall, Spring 2016 As a teaching assistant in the computer science department, I served as an extra resource for the students. I assisted in teaching Web Programming (COMP20) for 2 semesters, and Algorithms (COMP160) for my final semester at Tufts. My responsibilities included: • Provided guidance through labs and assignments, and assisted in comprehending and debugging code during office hours. • Reinforced students' understanding of high level concepts, challenging and engaging with course materials. • Graded homework assignments thoroughly — often meeting up with, and providing feedback for students to improve. Bookings Platform Team At TripAdvisor, I solved issues and implemented features pertaining to the Bookings Platform Team. My responsibilities included digging into the existing codebase, writing modular and clean code, and testing thoroughly. I worked mostly in Java, but also used JavaScript and Python. Some of my accomplishments include: • Refactored and streamlined Instant Booking’s email validation system to create a more reliable cancellation experience. • Refined payment infrastructure to abide by international policies, blocking the storage of payment information from unauthorized points of sale. • Implemented an alert system to send stored payment failure summaries, expediting the identification and resolution of errors.
