After being a regular member, and then a secretary for Polish Society, I was elected to be President, twice. The first year under my leadership happened to be during the pandemic, proving challenging for the organization, which mainly focused on providing opportunities to Polish students at Imperial College to meet and network. However, together with my committee of 5, we perserved, and even managed to increase our membership numbers. The following year I was elected again, with a new committee. We organized events such as the WOŚP social (raising money for the WOŚP charity), go karts, a collaboration event with 12 other societies, bake sales and donations of Ukraine and more. Over the course of the 2 years, together with my committees, we managed to double the number of members from ~40 to ~80, despite the number of Polish students decreasing due to brexit. Show less

Researched and investigated the properties and potential applications of levoglucosenone, along with potential production processes. This was done via scientic paper searches combined with patents. It was part of a "UROP" (Undergraduate Research Opportunity), and was conducted under the direct supervision of Professor George Britovsek. The project was completed remotely due to pandemic. The Learning Lexicon Project was initiate to celebrate 50 years of the Horizons branch of Imperial College London. As part of a 4 person team, 3 students and 1 staff, we were to invesitgate students' attidute towards different words and phrases often used at university. One example is "team work" vs "group work". We decided to design a survey, chose the software (Qualtrics), organized distribution to the students, incentivized completion (amazon voucher giveaway), analyzed the results and made a webpage entry to be published later. Initially, a large seminar was planned however had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Show less
