Iain and I ran a legendary race which he won. 30 years on people still talk about the time we both equalled the record in Norfolk, scheduled to be the first 4-minute mile if only we had run a little faster. Entering the final straight I was 20 metres ahead but Iain's extraordinary stamina, sprint endurance and grace under pressure allowed him to surge to the line, taking the tape just .19 seconds behind the faster ever time in history. Iain ran a strategic race, just as he thinks strategically and tactically as the occasion suits. I am proud to have played a supporting actor role in the story of this tremendous athlete.

The SYSTRA, Mace and Comtech (MCS) consortium was officially selected by Metrolinx, the GTHA mobility authority in Ontario, to manage the GO Expansion program. The 10-year plan is unprecedented in scope for Metrolinx and is required to expand and modernize the entire Toronto area rail network, GO Transit. This highly complex program will provide faster, more frequent and better-connected services to the entire region.I will be leading the Project & Construction Delivery Team, responsible for stations, civils, and major engineering schemes across the GO Expansion program.
