Design and development of the Bader B-250 airplane (single engine turbo-propeller airplane for Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Counter-Insurgency, Close Air Support and Training missions). My activities in the design and development program of the Bader B-250 were majorly on Aeronautical Engineering, in Aerodynamics & Wind-Tunnel Testing, Propulsion, Flight Mechanics and Flight Tests: - Aerodynamics & Wind-Tunnel Testing: In Aerodynamics, I conducted semi-empirical analyses of the airplane geometries, with the goal to validate the product geometries and drawings. In the Wind-Tunnel Testing, I participated in the development and planning of the testing campaign, design and manufacturing of the airplane model that was employed, follow-up and performance of the tests and treatment of the obtained data. - Propulsion: In Propulsion, initially, I interfaced with the propeller supplier to define a model adequate to the airplane needs and limitation. Later, I performed different analyses of the theoretical performance charts of the employed propeller and engine. In November 2017, I took part of the “An Introduction to Propeller Engineering and Aircraft Integration” training course offered by Hartzell Propeller Inc., on its headquarters in Piqua, Ohio, USA. - Flight Mechanics: In Flight Mechanics, I performed majorly Stability & Control analyses, evaluating the Bader B-250 stability, controllability and maneuverability. In Flight Mechanics, I also supported the Performance analyses with the development of the airplane drag polars. - Flight Tests: In Flight Tests, I followed and supported the flight of the Bader B-250 prototypes. Development of new solutions for protection of aeronautical structures surfaces exposed to the external airflow on aircrafts. My activities on this development were: preparation, follow-up and performance of materials testing, analysis of the testing results and follow-up of the materials for structures surfaces protection state-of-the-art through bibliographical reviews: - Preparation, follow-up and performance of materials testing: The testing in which I took part on the preparation, follow-up and performance would take the materials to atmospheric conditions encountered in aircrafts operations and the materials response to the conditions would be evaluated. - Analysis of the testing results: The analysis that I performed of the testing results was able to select the materials adequate to be employed on the solutions being researched. - Bibliographical reviews: The bibliographical reviews that I performed provided knowledge of the newest existing materials and solutions for structures surfaces protection.
