Josh France and myself have been gradually building our small poultry farm. We got started when our friend knew of a few ducks that needed rehomed and we had a pond they could be relocated to. We had them for a year before another friend of ours was trying to help re-home 2 turkies and 5 chickens and I had always wants chickens but never seen the right opportunity to get them. I enjoy all of my birds, they have helped me through some difficult times and have taught me alot. We grew from those 5 chickens to 60 chicken within a year. I wanted to try hatching eggs so I purchased some hatching eggs on ebay and ended up loving it! I had one incubator and then realized I needed 2 lol. Josh and I are working towards owning show & breeding quality birds. I recently just purchased my first set of Pastel Call Duck mates. Donald is only breeding quality but Daisy is show quality. They are really pretty ducks. I also have 2 call ducks that I hatched last spring Coco & Buffy. they are mixes though and will not be used for breeding. I have also hatched Millie Fleur D'uccle chickens, which are really small chickens, and I also was able to get a Serama hen to hatch, her name is tiny and she is the smallest chicken I have ever seen. we are in the process of finding her the perfect mate so we can use her for breeding. Josh and I have a 10 year plan that we are working towards so our farm is able to grow and thrive. I am so excited for this journey we are taking together!
