  As a senior leader, at Trowbridge Town Council with over 20 years experience, I work closely with the Mayor, their Deputy and our elected councillors to deliver the best results for the community we all serve.I lead my direct reports to be the best they can be, to inspire them in-turn to ensure my entire team feel trained and supported with the right tools to do the job. It is their leadership, our core values, and our shared strategic vision that has enabled a group of individuals to come together and shape our culture to deliver a high performing team.We work within robust financial governance to generate the best possible outcomes on all projects, events and our core day job.Through effective communication I am able to engage all stakeholders including The Council, The Town Clerk, Boards, Governance, Partner Organisations, and Volunteer Groups. We all, always put the customer at the heart of every decision.Through effective program management skills I am able to lead a number of functions, streams of work, projects and events on behalf of the town council.I find this very rewarding and it enables me to engage with all the schools, and volunteer groups, clubs and societies in the county town of Trowbridge.I am passionate about improving the environment in which we live, work, and educate our children.   I recruited, trained, and developed a new internal team, to ensure that we were able to consistently provide our local community with affordable and yet cost effective sporting and leisure opportunities. I initiated a collaborative approach across our community, which led to me influencing a wide range of partner organisations and volunteers to work towards shared goals.I acted on behalf of the Town Council across a number of cross party organisations which included, National Govering Bodies, Local Authorities, NHS and Education. I was also proud to be elected the chair of Trowbridge Sports Forum.Some of my key milestone successes were to initiate and embed community events which included , sport relief mile, street games, national play day and sports festivals. I also started the development of a number of future sporting facilities. I project managed successfully a number of large sporting projects to completion on time and to budget. I was able to build a close relationship across our region by working closely with all local schools in their development of sport and activities. This ensured they had access to our new team of highly qualified sports coaches. Show less
