Being my first job experience. The role has helped me learn basic accounting and auditing skills, such as drafting financials statements for SMEs, provide accounting services to clients by performing basic bookkeeping entries. Moreover I have also been a part of audit teams, this has helped me learn new skills on various sections such as risk assessment, audit planning and team work. The beauty of audit helped me understand how audit work is unique to every industry and company. I have also learnt basic tax requirements and regulations that need to be followed by companies, I have also assisted in filling tax returns for clients within the required deadlines to KRA.
