This position was to collaborate with Timber Marketing Team to maximize the value of all wood products across all land holdings. The main activities related to this goal were: assist with timber sales, on the ground preparation, negotiating and marketing activities, support in tactical harvest schedule, support the development of a delivered wood system, and evaluation of selling techniques. Additional responsibilities were to devise and implement an inventory strategy for backlogged 2007-2008 stands that required updated numbers at or below budget. This led to the development of a new plot implementation to be used in thinned stands, and resulted in reduced variation between plots, improved accuracy in stand level numbers, and increased confidence among information users. That project resulted in a promotion to a new position for the company, Inventory Analyst.
