As Crown Counsel for the Attorney-General I held a wide range of responsibilities including policy development and implementation, advising various government departments, debt enforcement for the Bermuda Government and bringing applications under the recently enacted Part IIIA of the Proceeds of Crime Act 1997, a policy initiative with which I was heavily involved in implementing. My practice areas cover a wide array of legal subjects including AML/CFT regulation and compliance, employment law, public law, contract law and judicial review.

My position as a Crown Prosecutor required me to undertake a wide range of responsibilities including trial preparation and conduct, legal research, provision of opinions to various government agencies and prosecuting authorities, legal drafting and negotiation. During my tenure with the DPP, I prosecuted summary offences in the Magistrates' Courts on a daily basis, assisted Senior Counsel in the preparation and prosecution of indictable offences in the Supreme Court, and provided legal advice to Bermuda's law enforcement agencies.

During my pupilage, I spent my first seat in the Office of the Chief Parliamentary Counsel drafting legislation. I spent my second seat in the Office of the National Anti-Money Laundering Committee assisting key decision makers to assess the needs and obligations Bermuda faces in the context of international and supra-national agreements and treaties. During my third seat, I worked with many talented attorneys in the Attorney-General's chambers providing civil advice for various Government Departments and Ministries. In my final seat with the Department of Public Prosecution, I shadowed senior counsel and eventually conducted my own prosecutions in the Magistrates' Court of Bermuda.
