Honed in my skills in the Civil Engineering realm while ensuring only designs sound in engineering and economics were released through the following: • Independently designed large-scale projects performing fluid dynamic computations in hydraulically open and closed systems • Routinely performed calculations regarding pumping stations, filtration systems, chemical amendments, and pipelines • Prepared plan sets including trenching schematics, elevation drawings, headworks layouts, and grading plans • Laid the foundation for a library of in-field assemblies in AutoCAD for installers to abide by and to facilitate standardized quoting • Prepared cost estimates of materials and labor required for projects Show less

Developed my skills in Mechanical Engineering through the following: • Designed and constructed updates and replacements for high volume manufacturing machinery • Collaborated with machinists to sketch, draft, and engineer devices low in cost by reducing machining complexity • Tested ideas and concepts through multiple iterations while utilizing analysis tools within SolidWorks • Rigorously tested and experimented with my prototypes and newly fabricated devices to ensure operational longevity • Managed multiple projects consisting of thousands of individual parts keeping track of models and layouts as well as which drawings had been submitted through the fabrication process • Implemented upgrades to existing machinery swiftly and efficiently such that minimal losses occurred during the manufacturing process Show less

The development and maintenance of an in-depth typical installation manual was the main focus of my time here. This, coupled with generating maps and layouts to be used by the installers honed my skills with AutoCAD as well as my attention to detail. I was also tasked with developing an Excel workbook to help enable salesmen to more efficiently hand data to the engineering team. It was this project that stoked the fire in me to become well-versed in Excel and VBA. The development and maintenance of an in-depth typical installation manual was the main focus of my time here.
