      After my apprenticeship I got offered a role within the team I was working in, which is the Operational IT Risk & Audit team within the Technology Service Excellence function for Maersk Technology.       The apprenticeship was for 2 years in which I got the opportunity to rotate to different departments within the company every 6 months, this helped to really understand how the business works and what areas I’m intrigued in. I worked within the Service Management department for my first rotation reporting to the Operations Analyst. Working here I dealt a lot with data in Excel and simplifying that data down and presenting it in a PowerPoint presentation. I have greatly improved many skills, especially my IT, Organisational and communication skills. And have met many kind, experienced people who have taught me a lot. I then moved onto the Maintain and Improve department working for their Team Coordinator. My role here consisted of helping organise meetings for colleagues, booking travel and sorting expenses for management, helping with interviews and arranging any off sites that needed organising and keeping any team documents up to date. I then moved to the Operational IT Risk and Audit Management team where I got offered a full time role when I completed my apprenticeship. Show less
