Provided with the opportunity to enter an immersive environment of higher education specializing in outpatient upper extremity rehabilitation. In conjunction with evaluation and treatment of intricate hand and upper extremity injuries, I attended several conferences with associated physicians/surgeons for advanced interpretation and education of severe and common ailments. This experience provided extensive exposure to complex injuries and impairments, as well as an opportunity to coordinate closely with practitioners from multiple backgrounds and disciplines. Ultimately invaluable in varying perspective during assessments and challenging analytical process to strive for the most effective outcome.

    • Rehab Director
      • Oct 2015 - Dec 2016

Rehab Director for physical, occupational, and speech language therapies at a 120 bed facility located in Rochester, NY. The facility, New Roc Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, came under new ownership and leadership in the fall of 2015. New owners established a contract with HealthPRO Rehabiliation for provision of therapy services and development of a high quality rehabilitation center. Responsibilities as director include scheduling caseload for 10+ therapists, auditing documentation for compliance with CMS, managing department revenue/expenses, attendance of regular department head meetings to coordinate quality of care and facility development, and staff education. Since the inception of HealthPRO, therapy at New Roc has seen a rapid integration into the facility, both for patients and staff, resulting in greater outcomes in health and wellness, as well as staff morale due to a clear direction and purpose. Upon transferring to the Villages of Orleans as Rehab Director in July 2016, new therapy programs were implemented for greater outreach and involvement in patient care with increased customer satisfaction and outcome measures as a result.
