Veterinary Nurse
-
May 2018 - Aug 2018
Beyond my preestablished kennel technician skills, I gained knowledge in vaccine administration, laboratory utilization, and direct patient and owner interaction. Nurses were expected to know how to use Impromed comprehensively, and I would often be in charge of creating invoices, updating patient history, and taking payments. When reception was overly busy, I would take phone calls, make appointments, and take messages. I am comfortable with all animals and have been trained in safe restraint and handling methods, as outlined by the AAHA accreditation program. Show less

Kennel Technician
-
Apr 2016 - Aug 2017
As a kennel technician at the AAHA accredited Best Friend’s Veterinary Center, I became familiar with the rigorous upkeep necessary to keep a five-doctor vet clinic running smoothly. I performed a number of cleaning tasks throughout the day, prepped client rooms, cared for boarded animals, and managed supplies throughout the clinic.
