The reason I joined is that I was looking to get the perfect work/life balance, meet new people and help to achieve their life requirements whilst fulfilling my own. I was looking for a new challenge that is mine and also allows me the flexibility to work around my young family and support my husband, who works within building and construction and has done for many years. The programme delivers lessons and activities designed to reassess skillsets and boost confidences. Many a mature worker might of been out of the workplace for a while due to possibly having to care full time for family members, meaning that they have been out of the job market for a while, which can knock self confidence and seems to be a barrier to employers as they do not like holes in employment history.
