My postgraduate dissertation project is about the investigation of the genetic causes of a family affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neurodegenerative diseases. All the WGS bioinformatic analysis was performed on the Rosalind Research Computing Infrastructure, hosted by King’s College London.The above-mentioned research project was completed by using bioinformatic tools such as samtools, vcftools, and bedtools and helped me to improve my coding skill applied to genetics.
