Nov 2015 - Oct 2020
- I developed the first large-scale biologically-accurate model of a brain region (thalamus microcircuit). This model consisted of >100.000 detailed neurons and >10 million connections. - I analyzed raw experimental data (time series), performed feature extraction, classification with machine learning techniques, parameter estimation, model fitting and optimizations.- Integration of heterogenous life science data from experiments and the scientific literature, mitigation strategies for missing data.- I performed neuronal network simulations using supercomputing resources and developed code for analyzing the results (Python and R), ensuring reproducibility and easy reuse of the code (git, code documentation)
