      Within the department of Communication Science I run a small team that sets up projects implementing educational technology, in and outside the classroom. Some of our focus points are MOOCs, blended learning, flipping the classroom, learning analytics and computer-aided assessments.Our greatest achievement was the development of our successful MOOC Introduction to Communication Science, the first MOOC made in the Netherlands.We also provide support for professors on using the different platforms that the University of Amsterdam offers.Before September 1st, 2014, I used to run Communication Science's lab and support researchers with all sorts of technical challenges in their research. Although I liked working with researchers I chose to focus more on using technology in education to specialize myself. Educational technology is already well established but there is still so much to discover, especially considering major social changes that have their impact on the university. Show less
