It’s genuinely hard to try and put into words the strength of Elaine’s leadership, a manager unlike anyone I’ve met in my career. In one minute she’s offering strategy to take an organization forward, and in the next she’s jumping into the weeds to offer coaching in challenging situations. Elaine grounds everything in the mission, the work, and DEI. Her moral compass points toward justice and she based everything on what was best for students and the staff that supported them. She’s also so much fun to be around. What a bonus to get to laugh with your manager!

Elaine was my manager at Year Up for almost two years. During that time she worked to spotlight my achievements in my role, took the time out of her busy schedule to provide feedback and looked out for my growth within the organization. Additionally as I dealt with personal health issues, Elaine was understanding and accommodating of my needs and made me feel like I had an ally in my corner. Elaine worked with me to build my professional brand, create results driven goals and assisted me with managing KPI's for all Year Up events.
