  Donnie's passion for creating furniture began almost a decade ago, when he was inspired to build a rustic table, completely on his own. He became hooked on the process and was able to turn his interest in furniture design, customization, and relationship-building into several businesses oriented toward both a custom and do-it-yourself clientele. Donnie has built pieces for several notable Denver restaurants and businesses, including Corvus Coffee Roasters, Gozo, Lena and Motiv. He has also partnered with Chef Kelly Whitaker of Id Est Hospitality on several of his projects, including The Wolf’s Tailor, Acreage, Cart Driver and Basta. Nationally, he has created bespoke furniture for Nike, Shopify’s Canadian headquarters and New York-based consulting firm McKinsey, among others. The foundational pillars for Denver Modern are not only an extension of Donnie’s original passion, but an expansion of his custom experiences to date.
