      • Nov 2015 - Aug 2016

I completed 12 weeks of vacation work at Norweld Engineering in Cairns. During my time at Norweld I constructed 3D CAD models and performed FEA on the ute trays and canopies to investigate the design and outline weight reduction areas. I have also developed multiple products to suit client’s specification including a transportable water tank, flat pack protection cages, box trailers, etc. I also designing balustrades, screening and awnings for two large apartment buildings located in Cairns. This project provided me with an insight into the construction engineering industry, and allowed me to learn on the fly.
