bare market aims to be Toronto's first all-in-one stop for package-free goods. We stock a large selection of body care and home care products in bulk (and eventually food once we have a permanent location) to help consumers reduce waste. All of our body and home care products are reviewed by a third party cosmetic chemist to ensure they are safe for you and safe for the planet. The vast majority of our products are made in Canada. We've been popping up all over the GTA since June 2018 while we search for a permanent location. We encourage customers to bring their own containers, which we will tare and fill with product so you're never charged for the weight of your container. We have reusable cloth, glass, and aluminum packaging for sale if containers are forgotten, as well as, the ability to partake in our unique Bare Lending Program, which provides jars for a 100% refundable deposit.

I support organizations working towards creating more secure, just and sustainable food systems, as well as, those supporting social enterprise. I am currently providing strategic support and social media direction to the Toronto Food Policy Council (part of the Toronto Food Strategy at the City of Toronto). Most recently, I developed, coordinated, and facilitated the first-ever Women's Employment Social Enterprise Accelerator (WESEA) for the Toronto Enterprise Fund. Uproot is a social enterprise that diverts wood waste from landfill through up-cycling and redistribution, while simultaneously engaging with local community in conversations around sustainability issues. As partner, I have fulfilled many roles. I helped create the company vision and provided direction on future endeavours by prioritizing goals and potential actions. I integrated systems thinking and sustainability into all decision-making, networked and formed multiple business relations with social impact leaders, took part in the practical manufacturing of products and services, and facilitated dialogue in group meetings. Further, I helped design Uproot's online presence, effectively improving our brand and marketing strategy through structured content calendars for social media. The values I brought to Uproot include: sustainability theory and best practices, a collaborative atmosphere and a reputation of excellence, clear communication and results. I am inspired by Uproot’s mission statement and core ideology, but as I am now back in school I only consult with the founders whenever mutually convenient.

Fred T. Reisman (FTR) & Associates Limited is a property management firm that specializes in selling and renting commercial and industrial units. I worked for FTR for 5 consecutive summers during my undergraduate degree. During this time I worked both in the accounting department and in customer service as a receptionist. As accounting assistant, I created spreadsheets, entered data, managed petty cash transactions, processed payments, invoices, and time sheets, while maintaining cross-functional communication. As a receptionist I liaised between tenants, management, and the CEO and CFO to build trust. I identified and assessed tenant’s needs to achieve satisfaction. I provided accurate information to address sales and maintenance inquiries and resolve complaints with customized solutions to ensure tenant retention. Additionally, I handled clerical tasks such as managing calls, deferring maintenance work, collecting rent, and preparing reports.
