As a civil engineering intern I assisted in many projects dealing with water main for the city of Waukesha. I helped with pipe sizing, daily chlorine level checks, construction and water pump maintenance. Project scopes included installation of water main, pipe location with Arc GIS, and overall care of water mains. In addition to my above duties I : - helped in creation of city sprinkler ordinance (Research and working with city hall and city attorney) - Used Microsoft excel to estimate costs - implemented pipe sizing and pipe angle formula Show less

Parks and Recreation

As a park and tree maintenance worker I helped keep all the parks in the city of New Berlin clean and running efficiently. I helped cut grass, clean bathrooms, and set up activities in the parks. I also helped with regular maintenance on lawn mowers and other equipment. Working with the city allowed me to see how parks are run and all the planning that goes on behind the scenes.
