My first project at Triple Double was producing 8-bit animations of a hungry number 5 eating cake, jelly, ice cream and sports equipment in a Pacman maze. This has set the tone for my work at TD: fun and wild projects that seek to enrich the worlds of young people, sports and education. In nine months I’ve already been involved on a huge range of digital and print projects including the online and offline Impact Report for London Youth Games, animating a winking brain, art directing a set of complex illustrations for a cult tech communications brand and building a curriculum platform for young people.

Demonstrating flexibility and proficiency across a wide range of print and digital projects, I collaborate closely with the design team and well as digital and print project managers and directly with clients. I am responsible for producing high level illustration work for clients and internal projects, employing a variety of different styles depending on the brief. One such project was defining Design Portfolio's company values and bringing them to life in an unexpected and entertaining way while avoiding traditional clichés of such material. More crucially I am a provider of high quality cakes and baked goods to the design team. Some highlights include: blood orange drizzle loaf, browned butter chocolate chip cookies, chocolate beetroot cake, plaited chocolate and pecan babka.

A period of self determination and creative practice. I worked with a variety of different clients including Ape Snacks, Vidya Health and Earlybirds producing print, digital, social, branding and illustrative material. I developed and strengthened my magnetic homing bird brain for locations providing free public WiFi, seating and wall plugs. A period of self determination and creative practice. From Howard Carter's diary, opening Tutankhamun's tomb: 'With trembling hands, I made a tiny breach in the upper left hand corner... widening the hole a little, I inserted the candle and peered in... at first I could see nothing, the hot air escaping from the chamber causing the candle to flicker. Presently, details of the room emerged slowly from the mist, strange animals, statues and gold – everywhere the glint of gold. For the moment – an eternity it must have seemed to the others standing by – I was struck dumb with amazement, and when Lord Carnarvon, unable to stand in suspense any longer, inquired anxiously "Can you see anything?", it was all I could do to get out the words "Yes, wonderful things".' This is how I felt opening the crated Damien Hirst artwork, undisturbed for a decade. Skills employed: studio organisation, management and maintenance, artwork condition reporting and maintenance, serving looks in soft cotton gloves, all round helpful egg.

The sales assistant role with the John Lewis Partnership was a rich environment to hone creative problem solving, learning complex processes and public empathy. Not only did I master the supermarket roles that you are familiar with, I also become exceptionally proficient at: - Helping visually impaired customers select the best environmentally conscious detergent for “delicate Angora woollens that shed a lot” - Rotating a 20-tonne lorry manually when the warehouse turntable broke down. A locomotive behemoth bobbing and buoyant on a giant air cushion instils a certain wonder as eight people heave on metal arms turning this monster and sending it on its way. - Surviving the 2pm Christmas Eve rage as the turkeys ran out. - Softening the catastrophic blow that was the Discontinuation of the Organic French Butter 2017. The messenger (me) was shot on multiple occasions.

Manning phone, email and online portal while helping with preparations for book proofs. I was the meticulous spotless king of the gallery space preparing for upcoming exhibitions and making the proverbial white cube that bit whiter and that big cubier. Skilled at cranking out the boxed wine for events and openings. I cannot remember if there were canapés but assume that there were and I that I served them with aplomb and élan. I still think, perhaps monthly, about the table colossal enough to seat twenty people with room for more, hewn from a single fearsome oak trunk. It made me feel wonderfully small.

While a student I worked with the arts outreach charity AIR Studio across a variety of projects and the A Million Minutes public residency programme in the Archway area. The final exhibition and symposium took place in a vacated William Hill and gave me a much more nuanced understanding of the destructiveness of austerity. Assisting with the running of public events I also remember the stunning flow of tea and biscuits.
