I had the privilege of working with Dana for 8 years at LDI/Safco. I was able to accomplish a lot more than expected in my role by partnering and leveraging his abilities to strengthen collaboration across departments, encourage and achieve innovation and creativity, and drive successful strategy creation and deliver results. Dana has an innate ability to bring teams together and focus on the project or task at hand. Not only is he a great listener, but he also easily synthesizes feedback and discussion to actionable tasks to help achieve our goals. He is a kind and empathetic leader cultivating an environment that produces phenomenal teamwork and collaboration, all the while leading without authority. His teams trust his methods and they know he is working to ensure all parties feel supported and are part of the process of change. One of the main reasons I enjoyed working with Dana is his ability to train and educate even when the subject matter is complicated. He helped me learn about our technological capabilities in a way that would not only influence my ability to use systems thinking on the project at hand but would allow me to have a deeper understanding of the leveraged technologies to help me be an improved creative problem solver in the future. Dana was a go-to thought leader for me during our time together. He helped me lead and create during some of the most complicated projects, all the while maintaining honest feedback and support for me and my team. He constructively and carefully helped steer diverse groups in the right direction to keep projects and progress on track. I am grateful for the time I had to work with him. I learned a lot and am a much stronger leader and a contributor because of our partnership.
