Provide architectural support, including white-box & black-box testing, to HW/SW Teams. Contributed to Nortel's SMB modular Enterprise product. Assisted with design and integration into customer environment – provided real-life insight into concept of design. Accelerated project completion by 2+ weeks by infusing new style of early engagement testing. Saved company 130K in project costs while getting product to market faster pulling delivery into Q4 generating $1.5M. Worked with Marvell’s Prestera product family and OEM Value Blade Switch/Routers, Marvell 98FX9210 x12 Crossbar Switch and 98FX910 Fabric Adapters, 98EX125 Packet Processor, 88E1043 Quad-Fiber SerDes, Marvell/Galileo GT-64260 System Controller and Marvell’s PoE enabled PHYs. I was one of two Senior Staff Test Engineer’s providing System and Functional level test support for Nortel’s router product line. Duties consist of providing lead role in sustaining test on maintenance releases. Lead role is everything from project planning to bug tracking. Customer interaction was part of the Pre-GA and GA release cycles. Secondary role in providing Functional Test for the Passport 1000 and 8600 routers. Compliance testing is based on RFC, IEEE and Vendor specific feature definitions. System Test function is based on common customer network designs. Bug reproduction and new feature testing is a core part of my daily activates. System Test methodology is based on a standard suite of feature regression as well as topology based references and validation points. Scaling is also evaluated when core areas of code are changed using Netcom and Ixia products. Accomplishments include writing test plans and designing topologies for other system test beds. Show less
