Primary focus of work currently includes a variety of retail and commercial new buildings, expansions, remodels and takeover projects for clients such as Walmart, Sam's Club, Lowe’s and 7-11 within the eastern United States. Additional experience and expertise in self storage facilities, automobile dealerships, warehouses and single family residential. Responsible for site due diligence research as well as feasibility and cost analysis. Prepare site selection and facility evaluation, Basis of Design development, and determine impacts of local zoning ordinance, land use regulations and architectural design criteria on proposed projects. Review existing building drawings and documentation and verify existing building and site conditions when appropriate. Work with Civil, MEP and Structural Engineers, Landscape Architects, Professional Planners, Land Use Attorneys and product vendors on preliminary building design. Prepare perspectives, vignettes, renderings, line of sight studies, color elevations and submittal presentations for Client review, Planning and Zoning Boards, Architectural Review Boards and other AHJs. Work through redevelopment process, entitlement process, obtain variances and waivers when appropriate and secure final approval. Develop working drawings and construction documents for submission to AHJs for review and approval. Prepare permit applications and ensure permitting process occurs smoothly and on time. Show less
