NYH is the predominant food bank in Northern Toronto that works to improve food security in the community by providing resources and assistance to local food banks. At Weston Area Emergency Support (WAES), I work in collaboration with dedicated volunteers working collectively to provide confidential and un-biased support to our community. As a program manager, I schedule volunteers, allocate available food supply for distribution, and communicate with team members via email to purchase items for the following weeks.

Responsible for the maintenance, organization, and teaching of recreational activities to youth at an overnight summer camp while maintaining safety protocols. Goal oriented teaching to help youth grow and develop life skills. Key Responsibilities: • In a team of six, created and led unique activities to engage 140+ youth • Instructed canoe and kayaking skills to 70+ youth, preparing 30 youth for Ontario canoe exams • Directed and choreographed monumental canoe synchronization performance with 10 youth, performing in front of 300 people • Managed paddle sport department inventory, ensured proper maintenance, and distributed appropriate equipment for trips and events
