      • My experience interning with Vaish Associates Advocates did not go as I planned because of the pandemic. I could have learnt so much more if it was a physical internship. • Although, online work from home research work, presentation preparation and document scrutinization helped me understand the process of how legal actions in companies actually work and what all compliances do a company have to make in order to stay away from legal proceedings. • I worked on Due Diligence for a case on XYZ company. • I also did thorough research on Redeemable preference Shares.• Made a detailed presentation on Secretarial Audit as well. • All in all, the experience of this virtual internship with Vaish Associates Advocates was worth the time. I am more inclined towards corporate law than litigation and in my opinion, this one-month internship taught me more than I could ever learn through textbook study.

      • Drafting a legal notice; the first and most important task that a law student must learn.- Filing an affidavit in evidence of a Vakalatnama. - Drafting appeals in multiple cases.- Drafting complaints under section 190 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973; Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881; Indian Penal Code.- Drafting Seizure Memo and filing multiple applications. • Presentation Skills. Interns were asked to present their research findings on topics given by the advocate on actual on-going cases. • Research Work. It is one of my strong suits to find the tiniest details on the internet, law blogs, books and journals that help with the case in some or the other way. I was well appreciated for my Research findings during the internship. • Interns were often sent to court hearings and filing of documents along with senior associates for exposure and learning the procedures and functionality of the court. • However, because of the COVID-19 restrictions imposed in Delhi, court hearings were mostly done virtually.
