The job requires strong teamwork, and leaderships skills. There were multiple team projects throughout the internship program. The projects were mostly case study research that involve critical thinking and analytical skills to analyze data on difference business strategies and innovations, as well as understanding the chemical process overview. The data obtained through the case studies are then applied to analyze the key success factors of SCG chemicals in the final project. Within the team, I took part as a project coordinator; this role allowed me to plan out the logistics of each meeting and communicate with the team members to ensure that everyone is satisfied with their delegated tasks. Moreover, if anyone missed the meeting, I was responsible to fill them in with the meeting minute. There were various experience sharing sessions to help interns explore the industry which provided the opportunity for me to gain insights of the chemical industry specifically for Olefins and Polyethylene process from cracking furnace in the olefins process to the finished products such as High density polyethylene (HDPE), MDPE, LLDPE, and LDPE.
