As the OTA student, I created and implemented interventions to help strengthen individuals functions, maintain current functioning abilities, and establish more efficient skills. Alongside the OTR, I also created goals and care plans for each new resident. I minimized injuries to staff and residents by offering education on proper and safe practices of care during transfers, ambulation, and ADLs and offered support as needed.
