  In October 2009, I was invited to become a partner in A4G LLP. As the practice is a young and innovative firm, I jumped at the opportunity. Today, the practice continues to grow and this is as a result of all of us having a passion for helping businesses realise their goals. Our mission statement at A4G is very simply to be "the best (but not necessarily the biggest) all round advisers to owner-managed businesses".The work that I do here at A4G involves ensuring that the required compliance work is completed efficiently and accurately, helping with the development of strategic plans and advising on the day to day issues that are affecting businesses in these challenging economic times.

  I joined A4G LLP in July 2006 after the client base of my previous employer was purchased by A4G. My previous practice had been very focused on tax planning which meant that this had always been the main driver behind the work that I was doing. When I came across to A4G, I continued to work with the same clients but as my knowledge about day to day business issues increased significantly as a result of my time here, I was able to provide a much more well rounded service to my clients.

QED Partnership LLP

  In April 2004, the partners of our branch of Ashdown Hurrey resigned from that partnership and set up a new practice called QED Partnership LLP. This new partnership had more of a focus on tax planning as a result of two new partners joining the firm but I still provided accountancy services to my clients and became very experinced at working with hybrid partnerships and the tax planning opportunities that these offered to businesses.   I joined Ashdown Hurrey as a trainee accountant after completing my A Levels in 1999. I started studying for the ACCA qualification in 2000 and my experience at this practice gave me a very good understanding of accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, corporate tax issues and personal tax issues.
