Bio
Franziska Sattler
Over the years, I had the pleasure to encounter many amazing women who are just as passionate about science and education as I am. But when I discovered Soapbox Science it felt like I had finally found my tribe. During the first meeting, I was welcomed into he group immediately the the wonderful Dr. Carolina Doran, our team lead who brought Soapbox Science to Berlin in 2017. I've come to know Carolina is one of the most hard-working and engaged individuals that I have encountered in the world of professional science communication. She is incredibly well organised, warm-hearted and enthusiastic about everything she puts her mind to. I believe that we work very effectively as a team in a very results-oriented environment, but we always keep a very friendly and respectful relationship. I always feel confident to ask questions and learn from her experience. Carolina has always encouraged me to take initiative and exercise resourcefulness and offered advice and support when I needed it. Through her, I learned more about sponsorship management for example, something that was very new to me when I joined Soapbox Science in late 2019. When I brought my own knowledge to the table, I felt listened to and appreciated. I'm very thankful to be able to work with Carolina and hope we will remain in contact for future projects, wherever our work might take us.
