Bob is a portfolio manager and member of the Elmwood Investment Committee. His primary responsibilities include U.S. domestic stock and bond research, as well as working with our financial planners on setting asset allocation for client portfolios. Bob enjoys meeting directly with clients to plan and communicate investment strategy. Prior to co-founding Elmwood Wealth, Bob worked for Osborne Partners Capital Management for 18 years and was their Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a principal of the firm. He was a voting member of the four person investment committee responsible for choosing individual securities and setting asset allocations for over $1 billion of client funds. Bob also had sole responsibility for setting strategy for their approximately $300 million bond portfolio, as well as all equity trading strategies. Bob also worked in the trust department at Union Bank of California and on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in both the S&P 500 futures and Yen foreign currency pits. Bob received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan. Bob has been a guest lecturer at the Berkeley Haas School of business and has taught adult education courses in investment management throughout the Bay Area. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and sits on the board of directors of the CFA Institute of San Francisco. Within the CFA society, he also currently serves as a business mentor, and sits on the Global Research Challenge committee. Bob and his wife Erin live in Berkeley, California with their two daughters Maile and Jacki. In his free time he enjoys skiing and playing tennis. Show less
