  - Reports to the President -Manages Purchasing and Materials Department which includes Purchasing Manager, Buyers, Materials Manager, Material Handling Supervisor, and Material Handlers across all plant locations- Ultimately responsible for all aspects of procurement and material management within Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC – to include raw material, component items and consumables- Plan, develop and implement strategy for purchasing and materials management so as to meet agreed-upon organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales (covering relevant areas of operation)- Plan, develop and implement strategy for purchasing and materials management to optimize both profit (cost reduction) and cash flow (inventory reduction).- Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance in conjunction with the executive team.- Establish and maintain management systems for all purchased items.- Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring economies and efficiencies within necessary aspects of purchasing management.- Responsible meeting target and stretch for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department (On Time Delivery, Gross Margin, Inventory Turns, Supplier Defects, 6S).- Champion continuous improvement efforts through knowledge and awareness, training, procurement (when necessary) and process improvement.- Maintain knowledge and awareness of contemporary procurement theory and methods and incorporate into strategy where applicable.- Effectively liaison with other functional areas as necessary to forecast, plan, and supply demand to relevant quality.- Manage and develop direct reports in accordance with the organization’s performance and talent management processes.- Ensure procurement activities and management of materials are executed in a manner consistent with good stewardship.
