Experience

    • Recruitment Resourcer
    • Childminders Assistant
      • Sep 2022 - Present

In this role I am helping the children to learn and develop their skills. I believe this has enhanced my understanding that people learn in many different ways, making this a transferable skill to apply in other careers to help to understand other individuals. In this role, I plan activities and days out for the children, meaning that my organisation skills have greatly improved as I am not only responsible for my own time management skills, but also of the kids to make sure the day trips and activities all run smoothly as planned to ensure everyone gets the most out of the day. Whilst at ITG, I transferred my previous phone skills in order for me to be more empathetic with the customer. It taught me how to develop a relationship with the customer in a short period of time. As I was taking both phone calls and responding to emails, this role enhanced my multitasking skills and further improved my organisation as you could stop mid- email to respond to a call. Working with such a big company has also taught me the importance of team work, and that communication between colleagues is key as there may be information to relay between one another. One thing I took away from my role in ITG, is that I can comfortably work independently. However, it is okay to reach out to management and other colleagues for help instead of struggling. Show less

As a Customer Service Agent, I have massively improved my conversational skills as phone calls push me to be more confident in dealing with customer issues. This role has also taught me how to problem solve and resolve customer issues quickly, whilst keeping the customer engaged and happy. Working in a call centre has also taught me to work in a faced paced environment as working to time goals is a key part of the role. Working in such a customer-focused environment has allowed me to gain a real understanding of people skills and has taught me that putting the customer first is also key. Show less

As a sales assistant within the garage, I take on huge responsibilities as my job is to overlook the forecourt to activate fuel pumps and to make sure there are no major dangers such as spilt petrol or open flames that could result in fires. I work between the two sites and cover shifts where needed, therefore demonstrating my flexibility and willingness to travel to the different sites when needed. As a waitress, I took on many tasks including taking orders, serving food and cleaning tables and other items. The Kings Court Hotel was a good learning curve for me as I got more of a taste for interactions with customers and how to deal with difficult situations. My teamwork skills also developed immensely in this job role and we had to work together as a unit to provide fast and efficient service.
