Christine was the President of the Baltic and Finnish Studies Association during the time I was Vice-President of the same student organization. She is one of those people for whom you say, "I don't know how she does it!" Not only does Christine have enviable amounts of energy, focus/dedication, and organizational skills, she is also one of the most personable people I know. I dare say that she is a role model for those who want to become powerhouse academics and activists - I am in awe of her commitment to tolerance education and her versatility with working in all kinds of environments, all the while maintaining her spirit and good humor.

Christine is a dedicated instructor and academic at Indiana University Bloomington. I have known Christine for two and half years and during that time she has always been a punctual and devoted student. Her academic performance has been continually superior and she has worked diligently to grasp the most difficult theories in our field. Christine is an extremely intelligent, enterprising person. She possesses great awareness, sees both the big picture and is detail-oriented, and has great follow-through. When she says she will do something, she will get it done - usually quickly and and with a refreshing and exciting approach. Christine is organized, efficient and does amazing work. I highly recommend her as a cultural Anthropologist, organizer and teacher.
