Engineering and Design Manager, Fab 23
-
Jan 2001 - Jun 2003
Managed a team of about 45 engineering and administrative personnel within the Corporate Services Construction Division in support of a manufacturing facility conversion and ramp of State-of–the-Art Flash product lines. Brought in by management to help recover failing $300M project by driving project planning, contracting and execution for engineering and design to manufacturing product final delivery. Key accomplishments included implementation of programs to improve engineering and design quality by 43%, optimize advance technologies with maximum reuse of existing infrastructure with 8% realized savings, and successful product transfer and factory ramp from the Flash technology development facility at record yields. Recovered 15% of design & engineering project contract value through aggressive claims and dispute resolution from predecessor actions.
