Regardless of what anyone's position is within an advertising agency, everyone should be able to think critically and offer a new approach to the problem at hand. As the head of the 50-person National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) team at the University of Illinois, I wanted to fill my team with people who had this ability as well as a clear passion for the business. More so than anyone I have ever worked with before, Ashley has a magnificent way of making everyone take a step back, clear their heads and then say something that is either a truly amazing idea or thought-provoking for someone else. When approaching the NSAC campaign for Nissan, we focused heavily on Nissan's current "Innovation" theme. This often meant focusing on technological innovations. It was Ashley, though, that constantly reminded everyone that innovation can also mean new ways of thinking, new methods and new solutions. This is something that we needed to hear and I will be forever thankful to Ashley for her ability to not only think critically herself, but to inspire others to do so as well. As someone who has hired Ashley before, I am honored to give her my highest recommendation. Any team in the industry would be lucky to have her and I can honestly say that I hope to have the privilege of working with her again some day!
