I had the pleasure to work with Doru in the same department for more than 7 years. He played multiple roles in 3Pillar Global, but all these roles had one thing in common: a pragmatic programmer mindset. Doru is a realistic, critical thinker, inquisitive and early adopter/fast adapter efficient engineer that you can count on whenever you have something challenging and critical to solve. I have always admired his power to translate and solve complex problems into small, pragmatic issues to solve having always in mind the big picture - a great skill that propelled him from software engineering into software leadership positions. Doru is definitely a big loss for any team he leaves, but it's a huge win for any new team he joins. I would love to work again with Doru in the same company and department - he will be successful in any company he will act.
